The following is the history of the Sentrex Eradication Systems which were installed at my properties in Burpengary in 2008.
13 years ago I had evidence that termites had invaded the ceiling of my house and had eaten through the timber board on the high raked ceiling. That timber board supported a suspended fluorescent light above the kitchen benches, and it gave way causing the suspended light to partly fall away from the ceiling.
I called the pest controller I was using at the time and they recommended installing a popular termite bait around the house. I decided to also ring my previous pest controller for his advice, however he no longer did pest control and had moved into Entomology research. He said he would NOT recommend the system that had been recommended. I then rang several other controllers with only one other controller recommending the same popular termite baiting system.
To find out more about termite control, I contacted the Department of Primary Industries. They sent me a lot of information about the different types of termites, the aggregation boxes developed by the CSIRO and the toxicant used to treat the termites once they were attracted to the boxes. The termites take the toxicant back to their nest which can eradicate the colony of termites in 7-10 days.
I found a local company called Termite alert now known as Action Termite Solutions who installed the unique CSIRO inspired systems and treat the termites by the method recommended by the department of primary industries. I arranged for them to install the Sentrex Eradication Systems around my house and I would check the systems on a regular basis, with them treating any termite activity when necessary.
Alex from Action Termite Solutions now services my systems. She checks the baits every 4-6 weeks as I am unable to. The treatment has been excellent. with only occasional baits showing new activity. This system is highly effective and very reliable.
